TomTom Sales Operations Forecast Manager - The Netherlands

Position
You will be responsible for the Sales Operations Forecast. You will develop and analyse with the Sales Director the sales forecast and shipments which includes the phase in and phase out of products.


As a Sales Operations Forecast Manager your role will be focused on Sales Forecasting and Shipment Planning:-

Sales Forecasting
- Work with Sales Director and/or business development managers to produce the 6-month rolling forecast.
- Stay informed on market trends, seasonality, stock in channel figures to help generate and calibrate the forecast.
- Perform weekly analysis of actuals vs forecast and highlight trends and variances by using and managing a database.
- Trigger warning signals for both planning and for sales to take appropriate actions to adjust supply.
- Integrate Phase In (New Product Introduction) – Phase Out (End of Life) products into the sales forecast.
- Ensure Launch requirements, dummies, demo’s etc are identified and forecasted
- Continually develop and improve forecasting systems, and reporting tools.


Shipments Planning
- Prepare monthly shipments plan in both units and value, based on open orders, requested dates, forecasts. Track variances and explain.
- Incorporate Revenue Recognition requirements in shipments planning, and at close of period identify shipments that do not qualify for reporting.
- Ensure shipments plan reflects a good balance of the customer’s and TomTom’s interests.
- Continually develop and improve shipment planning systems and reporting tools.
- Measure performance against plan

Candidate
- Do you have a University Degree or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years experience working as a Sales Operations Forecast Manager in a multinational organization, preferably from the FMCG technical sector?
- Do you have affinity with sales and a good understanding of the commercial
- Are you a strategic thinker with strong analytical and communication skills who has experience with change management?
- Do you have strong problem solving, decision making skills and affinity with Finance?
- Do you have good knowledge of ERP system such as SAP?
- Is your English at native level?

This newly created role will play a crucial part in the development and growth of the The Economist Business in the US. This important, senior role will have direct responsibility for all circulation marketing and sales activities in the Americas (US, Canada and Latin America).

Accountabilities
•Developing, planning and executing successful strategies that efficiently maximize subscription and newsstand sales and build readership of The Economist through marketing efforts targeted to current and prospective customers.

•Responsible for implementing and co-ordinating PR and brand marketing activities under the direction of the Global Marketing Director based in London. (The brand and PR budgets are also managed by the GMD.)
•Preparing and managing of budgets of approximately $25million, and associated forecasts. •Producing regular and ad hoc analysis of achievements against business and program objectives and redirecting resources based on a data-based understanding of the business
•Leading and guiding the circulation team to achieve aggressive objectives for subscription acquisition and renewals as well as newsstand and bulk sales
•Developing a culture focused on the customer and making the transition from list based marketing to customer centered marketing. Use research to develop actionable insights into customer segments.

Commercial Manager Emerging Markets Discovery Channel - UK

You will develop and execute a commercial strategy for existing and new Discovery channels across Emerging Markets, with the objective of increasing revenues through affiliate and new businesses. Key responsibilities will include meeting budgeted revenue goals with a view to cost/profitability implications of investments and new businesses.

Strong communication skills will be essential for managing all affiliate, client and agent relationships and also in negotiating distribution agreements with key clients. You will be educated to degree level and have 3 to 5 years experience in affiliate sales, or in business development, ideally in an international environment.
