Commercial Manager Emerging Markets Discovery Channel - UK

You will develop and execute a commercial strategy for existing and new Discovery channels across Emerging Markets, with the objective of increasing revenues through affiliate and new businesses. Key responsibilities will include meeting budgeted revenue goals with a view to cost/profitability implications of investments and new businesses.

Strong communication skills will be essential for managing all affiliate, client and agent relationships and also in negotiating distribution agreements with key clients. You will be a teamplayer with the ability to develop new business propositions on the basis of local commercial opportunities and develop business development strategies with the Commercial Director.

You will be educated to degree level and have 3 to 5 years experience in affiliate sales, or in business development, ideally in an international environment. You will have experience in responsibility for budgets of over 20 million USD and excellent negotiation skills with the ability to act independently on behalf of Discovery Networks Europe. Fluency in Arabic, Turkish, Russian, Hebrew, or an Eastern European language is desirable. You must have ability to work in the UK.
