The Situation
As part of the European strategy, the business in Germany is to be re-established with an office placed in the Hamburg area. This means that during your first year of employment you will concentrate on market analysis and identification of market opportunities while simultaneously ensuring the best possible set-up in Germany. The primary focus will be sales of fireworks to supermarket chains and a market test during the 2007 Christmas season. You will be referring to the Chinese VP and will be part of the European Management Team.


The Job
You will be responsible for the strategic development of the German market. The operations, including preparation and follow-up on budgets and planning of sales and logistics, will also be your focus. In line with your success, you will get opportunities to expand the business and build a team of experienced employees. Contact and dialogue with official authorities will be one of your most important tasks. You will be expected to travel both domestically and internationally, including visits to China.

You have a lot of personal drive and initiate contact with others easily through an open and trustworthy communication style. You are distinctly creative and this is very evident through the solutions you create. Your energy and visible leadership style makes it easy for you to lead the way for others to follow.

Through your business experience, combined with a distinct commercial gene, you are able to influence others in a positive way to make the right decisions. If you have both experience and understanding of handling hazardous goods for supermarket chains, then your basic competences are in place. You speak and write English and must have a minimum of 3-5 years of management experience – preferably within the fireworks business.
